It all started innocently. Six guys wanted to make heads turn and tongues wag with their particular brand of music and their group name charged with sexual innuendo. And, what began as a regular Friday night gig at a club called Moulin Rouge in Kings Cross, Sydney turned into a weekly, notorious Friday night “Bang Gang”.

The Bang Gang DJs — namely Ajax, Jaime Doom, Dangerous Dan, Gus da Hoodrat, DJ Damage and Double Nolan — have come far from those nights at Kings Cross. The group has spawned an entire generation of club kids with a penchant for good music, a taste for cutting-edge fashion and an in-your-face party attitude. Their famous “Bang Gang” nights even started a dance move that spread like wildfire on the Net.

But despite their success, the guys have managed to stay grounded and focused on the music with albums such as Light Sound Dance garnering them an even wider fan base. Having shared the stage with 2manyydjs, CSS, Justice, Kissy Sell Out to name a few, the Bang Gang DJs remain to be a popular fixture in Australia’s music scene.
