I fully endorse the fact this place is probably one of the World's Best Bar. I got to know about it through that website when I was searching for places to go in Asia. Frankly, the place is really cool and people are really nice. the band that they had was not so appropriate though, however, I overheard the management saying that they are waiting for their normal vocalist to be back as he was participating in some national singing competition or something. Drinks was excellent and unlike most bars and clubs, this place really hits the spot with the food. I adore their Mushrooms and Duck. Pricing was the most interesting element though. Many times we are forced to pay hefty prices for ambience and service, but not so in this case. Great work.

The Caipirinhas and Caipiroskas here are commendable, and there is plenty of seating for the non-smokers. Smokers will have to contend for the three tables in the only outdoor pavilion where smoking is allowed. Much has been said already about the lush foliage that not unpleasantly surrounds the outdoor seating areas. We had two main complaints about One Rochester: The tables are far too large and one ends up seated quite far away from your friend across the table. The music was singularly bad, comprising songs played off a single one-artist CD. Happily, the volume was low enough that we did not have to shout across the table to be heard.

One Rochester offers both indoor and alfresco chilling out experience. Its alfresco deco reminds me of Little Bali. Nice greenery with comfortable wooden chairs. Their drinks list is quite comprehensive. The food was normal and nothing special. We came to a conclusion that these chill-out bars does not serve delicious food.

The drinks list is extensive, with wines from around the world supplemented by cocktails and boutique beers. i had a strawberry diaquiri this time...okie lah, the only consolation that it was fushia in colour! It was an ostensibly wine bar with beautiful people basking in it's balinese style interiors to be seen than just a pure watering hole.

I have to say, all that hype about One Rochester is true - the place is really a great place to chill out. The outdoor setting is cosy and intimate, there is no feeling of claustrophobia and clutter that usually accompanies nightspots. The seats were comfortable and the staff service prompt and friendly. It felt rather quaint to be sipping beer at a colonial house. The only drawbacks of the place are its location (located somewhere far, far away in the west) and the fact that it only opens till 1am on Fridays. The drinks are a tad too expensive too, although it helps that we couldn?t stay for too long, ironically.

we went to that groovy new place one rochester for drinks the place is amazing ^.^ a pity their food selection is minimal and totally not up to standard and it wouldn't hurt if their music extended to the outdoor seating then it would totally rock...

Sharon brought me to One Rochester situated near Buona Vista. I fell in love with that place almost instantly. A cosy place to hangout, with great ambience and friendly staff. With a variety of drinks and finger food for you to choose from, surely there?s something for everyone at One Rochester.

One Rochester is a nice place to chill, unlike Villa Balli, which is, IMO, a sorry excuse for a supposedly 'balinese' themed chill out bar.

We went to a chill-out bar, One Rochester. The place was packed. All the alfresco areas were already occupied. Therefore, we ended up indoors. Not too bad since there was music playing in the background. It was a relaxing atmosphere.

I am impressed. The place is really nicely done. The whole outdoor tropical garden setting does achieve its intended effect, which probably explains why there are so many white people there (it was probably the Singapore they had in mind before getting here), but at the same time it?s not too atas since there is a very large variety of people who show up there, in all levels of dressed-up-ness.

One Rochester is a pretty chill-out place :) The lush flora at One Rochester creates an atmosphere which is of another place, discreetly partitioning us from other patrons. Other than being a little noisy (it was weekend!), it is pretty much a good place for some retreat or get together with loved ones. It is also worth checking out on the various restaurants found at Rochester Park. All these restaurants or bars are converted from those black & white colonial houses.

We head out to One Rochester for a bite & some drinks. Nice place, pretty new ... worth checking out on the various restaurants there as they are all those black & white colonial houses of which they've converted into restaurants or bars. However, there were some mosquitoes flying around but we had this fan turned on so it was quite ok...
