To be honest, I have no idea why people line up to get in. Caash can be very nice to people but sometimes, the people demanding entry aren't exactly polite about it. As for letting Caucasians in, trust me, I've seen Caash reject entry to those in less than appropriate clothing. Same policy for Velvet, so nothing strange about that. If you're in bermudas, shorts, sandals, slippers, you won't get in, regardless of your race. And for the last time, Caash isn't gay. His girlfriend's studying in Sydney and she's a very nice girl. So please stop the gay comments. But as an honest friend of his, I must confess that he's bi. Still, Caash announces it to everyone who claims he's gay anyway, so it's no secret. Come down and party with us anytime. Hope you guys grow to like the place. Cheers

If you want great trance and techno music to sweep u off your feet....go on wednesdays and saturdays.... (not when there are foreign superclub djs though) My score for liquid is always a full 10!

Great place. After the renovations, you would defienietly go there to chill and have a drink. And the staff kept my beer mug cold by changing one when i was done. That impressed me!

Liquid Room is best known for the Monthly Slinky Events. But what came across me is that 85% of the people are there to be seen not for the music. Or perhaps hang around at the hot spot(DJ CONSOLE). Some of them are dress up but to afraid to get sweaty at the dance floor when the music is pumping hard i guess. What's the point????? RAVE ON & RESPECT THE MUSIC PEOPLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I simply adore this place! I've been to other clubs but somehow, what draws me back is none other than LIQUID ROOM! The sounds great and the atmosphere is HOT. But... theres flaws even with the best of things. Knock down those walls and up the volume, we need room to accommodate more PARTY FREAKS~ Peace out @-{---

now,now.. lets not be sour grapes k?the world is such a pretentious place anyway. frankly,liquid is not racist but they prefer a better-dressed crowd in order to avoid the place from being flooded by bengs and such. bottomline line is,when u guys go clubbing, please do us gals a favour and dress up properly coz a place like liquid room is not ur downstairs kopitiam where u wanna walk in with a t-shirt and berms and expect CASH(door bitch) to fall on ur feet and treat u nice! respect urself before u expect ppl to respect u k. happy partying at liquid then!its kinda fun, moreover its new look will be unveiling soon! I went to Liquid Room on eve of Hari Raya Haji. DJ John Robinson is really great! The music that he played what I can say is: fantastic and energetic trance! He made everyone moved on the dance floor. Although it is very crowded but I had a great time and enjoy very much! Thanks!

Liquid Room got the best f*****g atmosphere in the world, i came down here after my birthday in December last year & I've been coming almost every week since." I know so many people there. "They're kind of like a family to me". There have been some people who have doubted the status of Liquid Room as one of the pioneer electronic dance clubs in Singapore, these people are fools. But most of all, it has a very good & open-minded crowd who like many styles of music. Regulars always got it right. When, later on as Adrian Wee's set starts to build and the dancefloor, the crowd & CASH goes wild. The people here are the most energetic & enthusiastic, plus they are very open & they seem to explode with excitement on Wed, Thu, Fri & Sat. Hilmawaty

After many yrs away , check out the new Liquid Room recently and its still really a fantastic club to be at. Liquid Room has really come along way since my first outing at this club some 5 yrs back at the old venue. Cheers to them for many yrs of great clubbing to come.

welle, i've been to liquid room twice. not exactly an exciting place as it's way to small for confort. but the first time i went with a bunch of models, male and female, asian and eurasians, we got in easily and was showed a lot of grace! the second time i went with 2 others, male and female, very local, and knowing about the door policy, asked if my male friend be allowed in and everything went on without a hitch. the club was also packed that night! maybe the door policy required everyone to dress up nicely - it might not be all about race. Yes I know that it's my night out and I should enjoy myself, that is why I still go to Liquid even though the music may not make sense to most Singaporeans. Yes, house music is catching on here, and those "connoisseurs" at Zouk and those that showed up at Gatecrasher proves that. I've not been to UK or Australia in a while, so I don't know what the clubbing scene is like there, but I do know for a fact that trance music is still being enjoyed in Holland and Germany, by your "no clue general clubbers"! And oh, FYI, trance music is not the techno sh** that is being released by Avex Trax or companies that misuse the name of trance music... But this is supposed to be a review forum, so I still stand by my review! a 10! :) heh chinky

Well, I must agree that Liquid's door policy raises some eyebrows, but guys, have you heard the MUSIC that they play inside? It's F***ING AWESOME!!! I've been to other supposedly "good" clubs here in Singapore (Centro, dbl O, MW2, Newsroom etc) but none play the kind of uplifting, energetic dance (trance) music like Liquid does! (Qualification: I've only been there on Sat when DJ Adrian spins) For those that love trance music, save your time and just go to Liquid. Dress well, and you should have no problem getting in. Seriously, the whole frigging dance floor was moving to the music. The energy that was flowing through the place was unf***ingbelievable! :) chinky

Sure or not I know he use to be a real good DJ BUT after he joint LiquidRoom he is like a jukebox like all the DJs there. I guess the only dance club here with "REAL" DJs is ZOUK, where they don't compromise, thats why they can have world wide recognition and last xo long. LiqRm and Centro just got no ideal and clue of the role of the dance music DJ. These Clubs got to be confident and promote their DJs and the style of music each DJs plays. Not just quick fix solution to play it safe might as well open a Top 40 , commercial house or even a retro club then. THIS is 2002 most of the clubbers into dance music here are fairly educated.If dance clubs here were to take ZOUK as a role model and blueprint then I think OUR DANCE SCENE will be a more exciting one.

I was at LRm (again) a week ago with my friends, a mulit-racial group, from Sinagaporeans to Indians to British of both genders. And we had a smashing time. LRm is truly one of the best clubs in Singapore. The service was prompt and severs are friendly. The music was excellent and the atmosphere really screamed "PARTY!. However, the door policy is debatable (stupid, in my opinion). On the other hand, at least we can be assured that LRm is one place where the B&L cant infiltrate. Cheerios

One of the hardest Club to get into, shitty door policy. I guess one can't expect much ; no covercharge ; small venue. But once you managed pass the door, Great party vibe,Hip crowd and highly charged pumping dance grooves.Never fails to stop me and my mates from going back again and again.

I think the Djs there should stop playing any trancy stuff on fridays and concentrate on techno which was suppose to be played on Friday nights, As trance are already being played on Weds and Sats. My friend told me that the Djs there are actually very good techno Djs but are restricted to play what they really want. Either you'll like or hate this place, I guess because of the small size of the club about 250 pax max makes them adopt these fucking door politics.I like its charged up dance music that the resident DJs play,its one of those clubs that I can honestly say that I enjoy the music at the end of the night.So the Music(cheezy or otherwise) is the key.

Liquid room SUCKS BIG time. Floor Area are small in relative to Zouk. and vis-a-vis other clubs in Europe and not forgeting Japan. Cash, if IM NOT WRONG, u should be working for the GAY JOINT PR DEPARTMENT rather then a bouncer la.. The way u dance and the way u behave sucks in corelation with the club. Anyway if u guys think that u have the most inferior so call "GUEST DJ" and the most wanted RICH WANNA BE and Singapore diehard SPG, u are wrong, take a closer look people, they are BENGS and LIANs in disguise trying to act so call "CLASS" , the guest DJ only manage to attract this kinda creature.

Hey hey, look! What's clubbing all about? It's about the kind of music that is played at the club. Excellent AND QUALITY stuff is played at Liquid room. Let's give a grade to the worth of music played at Liquid room. I.E. the quality and the enjoyment you get from the music played at the club. Let us not grade it based on the supposedly "stupid door policies in maintaining the club's high standard" It's unfair to give it a label based on one or a couple of times of refusal to enter the club. People ! you have to be nice to the door staff before allowed entry. We should not give the attitude when being refused , no doubt there is some disappointment. I have had always been allowed to enter the club since my first time there which was three months ago (every saturday night) I initiated and befriended some of the door people, that made my entry easy. I think people out there who are dying to get in there, just be nice to them, and you'll enjoy the same privilege as me. I always go with my bunch of chinese friends. Anyway, LIQUID ROOM'S the BEST club in Singapore. If you want trance and and tech, dun bother trying other clubs :)

After Pleasure Dome is out, so far have not found any usual hang out place, this definitely will be my next usual hang out place. Should thank the door policy which will definitely safeguard this place from 'lian & beng'.

THIS IS MY OVERVIEW OF LIQUID ROOM: FRIDAYS ARE THE HARDEST TO GET IN, SO IF YOU'RE NOT TRENDY OR FOREIGN OR FEMALE THEN BETTER THINK TWICE BEFORE GOING THERE, BUT WEDNESDAYS AND SATURDAYS ARE RELATIVELY EASY FOR EVEYBODY TO ENTER THE CLUB, NO SHITTY DOOR POLICY ON THESE TWO DAYS. FLOOR STAFF ARE THE USUAL FRIENDLY LOT AND SERVICE ARE QUITE GOOD NEED NOT WAIT TOO LONG FOR DRINKS, MAYBE LONGER WAIT ON FRIDAYS AS THE PLACE IS JAM PACK. HA HA HA the music there is sooo cheesy, mmm maybe its me i a serious house& tech head. I spoke to DJ Kenny who spins there on Fridays and this is what he said " Most of the crowd here are clueless about what is quality and what is cheesy tracks. I play mostly friendly music for the clubbers here although I consider some of the stuff I paly here cheesy just for the crowd. And if I were to play what I want..I probably chase the clubbers here away." and he told me to have a party frame of mind and not to take the music seriously there. THIS IS FROM A DJ WHO PLAYS THERE. SO IF YOU WANT QUALITY NUSIC THEN ZOUK IS THE PLACE "PERIOD"

TGIF-We waited for about less than 10 minutes in the que and make our way into the packed club, lucky no ugly door policy that night...Service is ok waited five mins for our drinks...Crowd quite similar to Velvets but more wild and energetic mmm maybe its the music...Ahh the music i guess glued us to the dance floor till the end..Good mix of house ,techno and trance not to deep or serious very danceable..Thats a year ago..we have been clubbing quite often @ Liquid after that..As for the door policy I guess still apply to newbies and non regulars , we need not que now as the guy at the door knows our regular faces and waves us in...Oh yah there is no Ang mor in our group, mmm maybe theres one Kim mor,my friend just bleached his hair ..haha

A good mix of trance however service needs to be improved. The staff does not allow us to get the seats inside until the manager agrees to.
