More than a club, for 17 years Zouk has been a Zeitgeist of Singapore and club culture (opened in 1991, it hails from the very early days of dance music as we know it!). It is only fitting they develop their own in-house label as another creative outlet and to further spread the Zouk ethos; One World One Music One Tribe One Dance. Thus Z.O.U.K the label was born...

And launching with t-shirts, because who would know what better to hit the clubs in, than the club peeps themselves?!

2 collections will be released annually with a few one offs in between, all done by Zouk's in-house creative team; the ones responsible for seminal flyers, artwork and set designs that have helped define the scene, as well as a selection of upcoming collaborations with other design/ music labels that they respect.

The collection

The first collection, titled the Ziggurat Of Unbelievable Kolours features 3 limited designs by senior designer, Jasmine Tuan, who re-interpreted signature Zouk symbology, like the eye and mosaic patterns, to delightful effect.

Don't miss Ziggy, the label's mascot designed by Zouk's Head of Creative, Mriz Sidah that features on all t-shirt tags and will be a regular fixture for seasons to come.

Fun Fact: The inspiration for Ziggy was the original ceramic fountain that used to be the centerpiece of Zouk's dancefloor when it opened doors. The fountain was relocated a few years later to its current position at Wine Bar after people kept falling into it (mostly intentionally) and making a splash.

The LookBook

For a taste of Z.O.U.K and the attitude it embodies there will be a Lookbook produced with images captured from the night of Zouk's 17th Anniversary featuring the t-shirt range paired with labels stocked at Blackjack Singapore like Alexander McQueen, D Squared, Raf by Raf Simons, Marc by Marc Jacobs, just to name a few.

Its release date is 1st of June and will be available where Z.O.U.K is stocked.
